I’m a lifelong South Dakotan and U.S. Navy veteran, and this business is deeply personal to me. I care about this community because it’s home. My goal is simple—to help families actually enjoy their backyards again without constantly swatting mosquitoes or worrying about pests.
Karen plays a huge role behind the scenes. She brings a steady voice, great instincts, and helps keep everything grounded as we grow. This isn’t just a business for us—it’s something we’re building together, rooted in our family values and our commitment to doing things the right way.
I grew up in Parkston, South Dakota, where my parents ran an agricultural business, so I learned early what hard work and taking care of people really means. Before attending South Dakota State University (where I met Karen), I spent five years serving in the U.S. Navy as a Seabee. That experience shaped how I approach everything today—show up, do quality work, and stand behind it.
Today, after 25+ years of marriage, we’re proud to call Sioux Falls and Tea home. We love the people here and the strong sense of community that makes the Sioux Empire such a great place to live and raise a family.
